Rural Electrification

The Franklin County Historical Society met for its annual meeting on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the Farm Bureau building. Dean C. Stange, Senior Engineer from Stanley Group shared a bit of the history rural electrification. Dr. Stange works for Stanley Group, which provided the original engineering services for our local REA generation site. Stange’s comments were summarized in the September 2012 issue of the Franklin County Historical Society Newsletter. The Museum is open from January 15 through November 15: Monday - Friday, 1 to 4. 

From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the museum is also open Sunday 1 to 4.
