September Notes

We would like to thank Larry Gilchrist for his writing, editing, online posting, website development and support over the last many years.  Larry has been the force behind the newsletter for a long time – and without him, you would not be reading this today!  Many thanks Larry.

We’ve begun the process of posting this newsletter online.  You can view updated articles at You can also subscribe and receive new updates in your email or reader.  A SOS Operating grant from Iowa Cultural Affairs was received to enable us to move our newsletter online, and to continue to send it out each month in the mail to those who still wish to receive it that way.  If you’d prefer to read it online, please email and let us know your name and mailing address.  We will switch you to an online reader!   Feel free to share this link with your friends and family as well.

Have we forgotten something?  Is there something else you’d like to read about in these newsletters?  Have comments or suggestions?  We welcome your comments, suggestions and questions.  Please email either or You can also mail your requests to Newsletter Editors, FCHS, P.O. Box 114, Hampton, Iowa 50441.
