Harriman Nielsen Historic Farm News

Thank you for all your help with the Fall Festival.

The many volunteers made the day a success.  It is good family fun and this year the weather was perfect.

The winner of the Tall Corn Contest was Pam Polark, 14 ft. 5 ¾ in., 2nd place – Travis McCormick, 14 ft. 3 in. and 3rd place – Joe Pitsor, 13 ft 8 ¼ in.

The Giant Pumpkin Contest was won by Joe Pitsor – 144 lbs,  2nd place – David/Joleen Sorenson,  3rd place –  Katelyn Baltes.   If you have any suggestions for next year and/or want to help in any way please let us know.

Grants of $1000 each were received from the John Hanson Foundation and Winnebago Foundation to help with the sewer expense.  The house is now connected to the city sewer system and the bathroom renovation will be completed this winter.
